Client’s Comments: Carolyn & Vito Bovino – “My husband and I were very lucky to be given the opportunity to build our own home in 2014. It’s a big undertaking and this was a large project that we had to get right. The first important step is to engage an architect to bash out ideas on what to build. Our Architect, Tom Dames of Frederick Adams Ltd, then listed building companies that we could invite to tender for the build. It can be a big unknown engaging a building company, and to some extent you have to go on “gut instinct” and recommendation/word of mouth. As soon as we met Phil and James Coleman, we both felt an instant “we want them to do our build”.
From the start it was an excellent relationship, we all had the same goal in mind and I can honestly say that at no point was there any problems with the build or each other. The team worked tirelessly and smoothly to get the house finished and moved in by 12 months. Any overspend was totally our own due to choice of fittings. Refreshingly James and Phil agreed to run an ‘open book’ policy on our project, so at any stage you can view the spend. In addition the schedule for the works was always available to view and open to discussion. Coleman’s sourced as much as possible locally which we were very keen to do and always came up with alternatives to any issues that arose. I think we were probably very lucky with our choice and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Coleman’s and would definitely consider using their services again.”
