Description of Works: This project was very exciting, a new house on the Hampshire and Surrey border built to an incredible specification. Externally very traditional with oak frame and featheredge boarding, manmade bricks and tiles and stone elevations introducing local material. Internally you can really see the green oak frame structure the building is built around, all cut on site by our own craftsmen, all rafters are exposed, with large trusses all lit by colour changing LED lighting linked to automated control.
Natural floor finishes flow through the house with oak, stone and slate. An intelligent lighting control system operates top of the range light fittings to pre-set scenes that also integrated electric gates and alarm. Also fitted with full surround sound to bedrooms and living areas. Once into the entrance hall you are welcomed by an oak cantilevered staircase with frameless glass screen adjacent and from the living area is an oak spiral staircase, all designed and custom built by our craftsmen. All bathrooms have contemporary sanitary-ware and are fully tiled with magnificent natural stone, they all have various features such as a recessed niche or built in oak units.
Client’s Comments: Matthew Windett – “Coleman’s have proved to be a reliable, skilled and experienced building company with a strong track record of delivering highly individual, customised building projects. Especially impressed with oak framing and attention to small finishing details. Exceeded expectations in translation of complex designs into bricks and mortar. Highly recommended.”
